Glad to know that my professor's relatives are safe in Japan.
This Ikebana arrangement was made out of the following haiku (Japanese 5-7-5 poem):
Yellow flower of spring
The sun in the west
The moon in the east
A difficult poem indeed. Should have chosen a simpler one >.<
