Bonjour! Comment vous appelles-vous?

I'm taking French 101 and Italian 101 this semester. To my surprise, some words are pretty similar that I get confused from time to time. Well, it's been only a week. I hope I get better later. I love learning languages of the world because language is a culture. Like, a translated language feels so different from hearing the original version of the language.

Right now I keep mixing up alphabets and numbers. All that I remember is that Italian alphabets do not include j, k, w and y. They're external alphabets adapted from the Greeks.

Well, ciao for now, it's time for me to cook breakfast!

MMD

Stands for Miku Miku Dance.
In short, it's a software to make 3D animation.

I just started learning it yesterday. I got the 3D model from NicoDou since I haven't learned how to make my own model yet.

Making the movement smooth and realistic is actually pretty hard for me. To begin with, I don't dance, and I haven't been paying a lot of attention to human movements (like where the bones are, how they rotate, etc.).

Now that I can somehow make a proper movement, I'll try to learn how to create a new character from scratch next. Or probably, I'll start figuring out how to play around with stages and other accessories first.

MMD is fun ♫

Simply Asian

Once you're acquired to a certain taste, you can't really go away from it.

I've been quite fortunate to have experienced living in three countries even before my age reached 20. Eleven years in Indonesia (home country), six years in Singapore (because I got the scholarship), and the rest, in United States. Even if your geography is bad, you should still know that the first two countries are in Asia, and the other is pretty much self-explanatory.

So, about 17/21 of my life (my math is bad, I can't approximate the fraction into a simpler term) is spent in Asia. Like it or not, I grew up with Asian taste.

Americanized Asian food, to put it simply, sucks for no clear reason. I'm not just talking about Chinese food, but also Indonesian food. I don't know why, I'm rarely satisfied dining at any Indonesian restaurant located in US. Or maybe I just haven't found a good restaurant.

Anyways.

I had become a perfect glutton over winter break. And now I'm trying my best to shed some flabby fats away :(

Happy New Year!

Buon giorno!

It's still January and I'm still in the mood for new year. Happy new year to us all! I haven't been able to write anything on the blog for the past... month? Yeah, even thought it's winter break, I didn't have proper Internet access and I spent more of my time with my big family. Less time on the computer, woohoo! What a big improvement for me.

Yesterday I started cooking for the first time after 1 month of cooking dormancy (cuz it's winter break - I'm home and either my mum cooked for me or we dined out). I have no problem with sensing how much salt and pepper and other ingredients I should use other than the spicy Thai chili peppers.

So... I added to much chili peppers. They're not like jalapenos - they're nothing compared to these Thai peppers. It's super spicy.

I cooked this in the morning for breakfast. Guess what? I was wearing contacts (for the first time in my life), and I couldn't help but crying as I ate this lovely mom's-recipe-that can't-be-found-anywhere dish.

But it made my body warm afterwards, so I didn't feel so cold as I headed towards school. It's -7C right now and it's been snowing lightly for the past 2 days.

This is going to be my last semester as an undergraduate. I feel really sad for spending only 3 years as an undergraduate. I feel that my undergrad life is so far the best time in my life. I can take courses that I really like. Well, I still have to take other courses which I don't really like (anything related to biology or microbiology is disastrous for my tiny brain). I love anything related to chemistry, though ;)

Alright, it's not time to go to class yet but I'm already awake. I guess I'll try to make a bento today so I don't have to come back to my apartment during lunch break (> v <)
