Oolongism

About two weeks ago I purchased this at an American tea specialty shop. 1/4 lb of the tea leaves cost me like $36, and the flavor isn't even that great.

About a week ago, I visited a Chinese shop that sells tea and got a Ti Kuan Yin for $16 per 1/4 lb.

And it tasted better.

Morale of the story? Don't get tea leaves from fancy-looking store.

  1. I have gotten 100 packets of chinese tea for $4.95 plus shipping and it tastes good too. It may take some research but you can find good tasting tea at a reasonable price.

  2. I assume you're buying tea bags and not the leaves? But yes I would agree with you that you can find cheaper tea with similar qualities out there. I would say, however, that the really really good ones are going to be really expensive.
